About Me

Hello and welcome! 🌿✨

My name is Yulia Lisitsa — I’m an artist and pole dancer based in Amsterdam. My creative path began later in life, and I love to share that it’s never too late to follow your curiosity.

For many years, I believed that drawing was only for those who started in childhood or had formal art education. At 34, I proved myself wrong: I picked up pencils, joined a dance studio, and discovered that the real secret to growth is simply showing up — again and again.

I call my approach sustainable creativity. For me, it’s about finding joy in small, consistent steps. Not rushing. Not chasing perfection. Just creating, learning, and letting art become a natural, sustainable part of everyday life.

I lived in Tokyo for several years, and this experience greatly influenced my perception of the world. My love for Japan is present in my themes, views, and visual taste.

I experiment with many materials, but I keep returning to color pencils and Procreate. In 2023, I began exploring watercolors, and now I’m curious about ink drawing too. My art isn’t one style or medium — it’s an ongoing journey.

I hope my work inspires you to slow down, notice the details, and maybe even pick up a pencil yourself.

In my blog, I write about:
✨ creativity in adulthood
✨ pole dancing and physical freedom
✨ life in Amsterdam and travels around the world
✨ Japan and personal cultural discoveries
✨ mindfulness, development, and living through joy, not anguish

👉 If you’d like to follow along, I invite you to subscribe to my blog. That’s where I share drawings, creative reflections, and little pieces of everyday inspiration.
